Eccle 1:8 “The Bible says the eyes are never satisfied with seeing”.
It is very saddening that it seems most people concentrate so much on the outside without considering or finding out what lies untapped within them.
They concentrate so much on what God is doing in the lives of others that they lose sight of the glory and potential God has placed within them.
In our opening text, we see that the eyes are never satisfied, which explains how that if you are not careful you will get drowned in the things that are happening outside without you realizing your abilities and capabilities.
Can it be that you are so much looking at somebody’s ministry or what God is doing in the life of a brother in church to the extent that you fail to look deep down within yourself to acknowledge the giftings that God has also placed within you to function on earth?
Satan sometimes employs this so that you lose your individuality among the crowds to the end that you don’t discover your unique abilities and stand out.
By doing that, he steals your time. It can be that the reason you haven’t moved further in your walk with God is because you are always inordinately focusing on what is happening in the lives of some people. You are simply not advancing because of the lust of your eyes.
Stop that attitude. Focus on yourself for you also have something to offer the world.
Imagine the amount of time you spend always admiring people instead of investing that same amount to build yourself and explore your potentials? But you just keep on watching and wasting time.
Consider using that time on developing your gifting and see where you will end. Don’t over concentrate on what is happening outside. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and so are there greater things in you too. God gave every one of us a special package to show forth to the world.
This means that there is something glorious in you too that the world is waiting to see manifest in your life. Look deep down within you and bring this gift out today. Don’t waste time on the lust of the eyes. You are great. Shalom!
